With $2,500 in ad spend, Ngital sold 250 Accoru $99 Lifetime Deals, about $24,750 in sales and a 9.9x return on ad spend, using motion-led ad creative on Facebook and Google across English-speaking markets.
Objective & Challenges
Accoru is a modern cloud accounting software for small businesses, freelancers and consultants, offering simple, flat-rate accounting as an alternative to QuickBooks and Xero.
To build an early customer base, Accoru launched a $99 Lifetime Deal: one payment, no recurring subscription fees. The challenge was selling it profitably to strangers in competitive, high-cost ad markets like the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, where accounting software is dominated by big subscription brands.
The goal was to sell as many lifetime deals as possible at a cost per sale far below the $99 price, with creative that made the value of a one-time payment instantly clear.
Our Strategy
We built the whole campaign around one message: pay once, use it for life. Every creative led with the $99 price and "no recurring subscription fees", backed by what Accoru actually does.
We designed a multi-format ad series with bold typography, high-contrast layouts and Accoru's green and amber palette: 1:1 square ads for feeds, 16:9 landscape ads for horizontal and display placements, and 9:16 vertical ads for Stories and Reels, plus product carousels that explain the features card by card.
Motion graphics and audio-visual ads carried the message in Reels and Stories, landing the offer in the first few seconds.
On Meta, we ran sales campaigns in six English-speaking countries with prospecting and retargeting ad sets optimised for checkout and purchase. On Google, we captured people already searching for accounting and invoicing software. Budget moved to the platforms, audiences and creatives with the lowest cost per sale.

The brief was simple to say and hard to do: sell a $99 lifetime deal for an accounting app to small businesses and freelancers in English-speaking countries, at a cost per sale low enough to make the offer profitable. Ngital treated the creative and the media as one system, so every ad was designed for the placement it would run in and every placement was bought for the ad that would win there.
1. One offer, one clear message
Subscription fatigue is real for small business owners. Most accounting tools charge every month, and the cost keeps rising. We built the whole campaign around one idea: pay once, use it for life. Every creative leads with the $99 price and “no recurring subscription fees”, then backs it up with what Accoru actually does, from invoicing and expenses to reports, so the deal reads as real value rather than a gimmick.
2. Ad design in three formats
We designed a multi-format creative series with bold typography, high-contrast layouts and Accoru’s green and amber palette, so the ads stand out in busy feeds and stay recognisable across placements:
- 1:1 square ads for Facebook and Instagram feeds
- 16:9 landscape ads for horizontal placements and Google display
- 9:16 vertical ads for Stories, Reels and other full-screen placements
Each format keeps the same branding while the layout and copy adapt to its shape. We also designed product marketing carousels that walk through Accoru’s features one card at a time, which work well for cold audiences who need to understand the product before they buy.
3. Motion graphics and video
Static ads explain the offer; motion sells it. We produced short motion graphics and audio-visual ads that show the product in use and land the $99 lifetime message in the first few seconds, before people scroll past. These became the main creative for Reels and Stories placements.
4. Facebook Ads and Google Ads
On Meta, we ran sales campaigns across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland, with a prospecting ad set to find new buyers and a smaller retargeting ad set for people who had visited the lifetime deal page but not bought. Campaigns optimised toward checkout and purchase events, so the algorithm looked for buyers, not clickers.
On Google, we captured people already searching for accounting software, invoicing tools and alternatives to the big subscription brands, and sent them straight to the deal page. Budget moved between platforms, ad sets and creatives based on cost per sale, and losing creatives were replaced with new variations from the same design system.
What made it work
- A simple, strong offer. “$99 once, no subscription” is easy to understand in a second, and every ad said it first.
- Creative built for each placement. Square, landscape and vertical versions meant no ad was cropped or squeezed into a format it wasn’t made for.
- Motion where attention is shortest. Video and motion ads carried the message in Reels and Stories, where static ads struggle.
- Optimising for sales, not clicks. Every budget decision was made on cost per sale, which kept the campaign profitable as it scaled.
Results
The campaign sold 250 Accoru Lifetime Deals at $99 each from a total ad spend of $2,500. That is about $24,750 in sales, a 9.9x return on ad spend, at roughly $10 to acquire each customer, about a tenth of the deal price. Accoru gained 250 paying customers in tough, high-cost markets, along with a library of proven ad creative in every format to keep scaling.
